Pinedale, Wyoming

We drove from Salt Lake City into Pinedale, Wyoming, and on the way, met the friendliest cop ever!

Seriously, we got a ticket!…but we found out that Wyoming has THE nicest state troopers ever!  The ticket was only $89, and he welcomed us to his state, gave us a map, and then gave us his card.

Apparently in Wyoming, you can go on their state website and rate how well the cop did by his badge number! Crazy!

By the time we made it to Pinedale, we had already gotten to see antelope, a beautiful lake, and the very first JC Penney in Kemmerer, WY.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn Pinedale several times because my husband was selling the Half Moon Lake Lodge in Pinedale.  The staff at this particular Hampton Inn were the best of all the Hampton Inns around, in my opinion.

They remembered us each time, out rooms were very clean, and they even allowed us to have packages delivered and kept them for our arrival in between visits.

The last night we stayed there, they had a customer appreciation night and had the local barbeque restaurant cater burgers, bbq, and beer.

Overall, I loved this little hotel with all the reliabilities of a Hampton Inn and the perks of a small town staff.

Half Moon Lake Lodge is a beautiful lodge in scenic western Wyoming.  It’s located on Half Moon Lake in the Bridger-Teton National Forest and surrounded by the 13,000 ft. peaks of the Wind River Mountains.

The Lodge has eight cabins and a variety of activities from fishing and hunting to hiking and horseback riding. I think this is a must-stay if you are going to Wyoming.

We auctioned this amazing property and in the process, got to spend quite a bit time here at the lodge and with the outfitters from Bald Mountain Outfitters.

Me being a city girl, I had no idea what an outfitter was.  Apparently they are the guides for those adventurous hunting, fishing, and hiking trips through the mountains.

Learned a lot of new things and had a lot of fun! Love Wyoming!
