Las Vegas 2

Las Vegas 2

We had so much fun on the Senior Leadership Team meeting in Vegas that we decided to do it again.

I had heard wonderful things about The Wynn and The Encore Tower Suites so we decided to make it our next Vegas stop.

The Encore and Wynn are connected by a long “mall” of high-end shops including Hermes and Alexander McQueen.

The Encore’s gaming tables are all higher dollar tables so you are not going to get the Strip or Downtown crowd in here.  It’s a much quieter casino that caters to a higher end clientele.

We arrived at registration and they offered to upgrade us to the Towers. Our room would have been on a lower floor though so we declined.

Our suite was nice with a separate bedroom area and living room area.

I do love when they leave the slippers beside the bed at the turn down service.  That’s always a nice touch!

Concierge helped when we needed it. If you’re looking to class it up and not do Vegas “Hangover”-style, this your place!

We went to several restaurants on this trip including going back to Jean-Georges Steakhouse, but I really liked one of the restaurants inside the Encore.

All of us wives were invited to come on this trip to Vegas so while the men were in meetings, the women got to play! (This totally sounds like it sets us back 60 years, but really, what woman or man would turn down a free trip to Vegas?!?)

Wazuzu is a Japanese restaurant nestled inside of the Encore. We had an all girls luncheon the first day in Vegas. I had coordinated it thinking that some of the girls had just arrived and would want to just check in, freshen up, and then go straight to lunch.

I also really wanted to try it, having read the menu the day before.

The restaurant did not disappoint.  We had a variety of dishes from the rainbow roll to the curry.  Everything was tasty.  The atmosphere was fun, and it turned out to be the perfect place for our initial meeting.

The next day, we decided to walk across the street to The Venetian to get lunch and browse the shops.

The Venetian is a darling hotel.  They have opera singers doing shows, gondola rides available, and the whole place gives you the feeling like you’re walking outside in Venice on a beautiful day.

The area where opera singers do their show has restaurants with “outdoor” seating so you watch the show as they hang over balconies to sing.

Postrio Bar and Grill, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, is one of those restaurants, and it looked perfect for us.

We started with a pizza and french fries as appetizers, then had salads or pasta for our mains.  The food was good, and the company was even better. It was a great atmosphere for us to sit and talk and get to know each other.

Afterward, we went to Barney’s and got treated to makeovers.  Such a great day! I was honored to be in the company of such accomplished women.

We also saw several shows while in Vegas.

The first night I took Stephen to see Peepshow starring Coco T. It is definitely an adult show! The dancers and singers were amazing!

Next, we saw Zumanity. All I can say is Wow! It was racy! The dancers were beautiful, but I didn’t particularly care for the show.

On the last night, Stephen and I saw Penn and Teller.  They did some amazing tricks, and Teller was adorable.  I just wanted to put him in my pocket!

Penn and Teller perform at the Rio Las Vegas so after the show we went up to the club!

Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub is on the 51st floor of the Rio and is an indoor/outdoor nightclub.  It has the most magnificent view of all of Las Vegas! It’s a definite must see on a night out in Vegas!
