My husband works at the World Wide College of Auctioneering teaching a real estate auction class a few times a year.
The September session is held in Denver at the Country Inn and Suites Denver Airport.
It’s located in Gateway Park near the airport.
It’s a pretty standard Country Inn and Suites. Good value, right by the airport, and very clean. There’s no bar, but breakfast is provided each morning, and the staff is always cordial.
If you need a quiet cheap quick overnight stay, it works.
And if you’re there in mid September, you can come to the fun auction in the conference room to buy some neat items and cheer on the student auctioneers.
Since Denver is pretty centrally located, we decided to have our AmeriBid Sales Meeting here in Denver at the same time.
Across the street from the Country Inn and Suites, the Hyatt Place Denver Airport had a conference room that turned out to be perfect for us.
They gave us a group rate for the rest of our sales team so they all stayed at this hotel.
I helped coordinate the conference with the staff, and they were very professional and accommodating.
Having stayed at a few Hyatt Places, I know they are affordable, and the rooms are comfortable. They have breakfast in the morning, and a bar for the night. It’s a great option for an overnight by the airport in Denver.
A couple of restaurants within walking distance of the hotels are Ted’s Montana Grill and Uno’s Pizzeria.
I know they are chains, but they are a good option just to grab some lunch or dinner.
I had never been to a Ted’s. It’s a good All American restaurant with burgers, salads, and such.
All I can say is to try their Big Sky Grilled salad and add a Bison Burger on top of it. I’m hungry now just thinking about it. You won’t be disappointed!
Uno’s is the standard Uno’s, but really, you can never go wrong with pizza!
The staff was also very accommodating when I asked for a quiet booth.
