here were seven of us in total. The Aria upraded us (for a bit of a fee) to two of the two bedroom suites. The suite was 2,000 square feet in size, complete with a living room, dining room, kitchen, and two and a half baths. It was the epitome of luxury. Everything was electric from the blinds to the heated toilet seats. We were pampered through and through.
The casino was always lively but had a classier vibe than the standard strip casinos. (I did have one random girl ask me if I was wearing underwear, but I just chalked that up to being in Vegas!… and no, I did not answer her.)
We had the company dinner at Jean-Georges Steakhouse. I love this restaurant! Situated inside the Aria hotel, the restaurant has a modern, sleek feeling to it that goes very much with its hotel’s theme. The private room offers a nice venue for a small party. It seats 12 comfortably, has adjustable music, and servers that serve only to your table. We started with a couple of the Chilled Seafood platters, then moved on to salad/soups and steak. Their grilled Wagyu fillet mignon just melts in the mouth. I’m salivating thinking about it! Totally pricey, but totally worth it!
We danced the night away at Haze nightclub in the Aria as well. (Watch out…the Vodka RedBulls were $30 each!!!) One week after we were there, we saw Haze featured on the Shah’s of Sunset! I love everything Bravo!
The casino is also attached to the City Center which is a high-end boutique mall. If you’re looking for the latest Hermes or Louis Vuitton, this is the place.
We did venture outside of The Aria to see my brother.
My brother and his girlfriend live in Vegas.
My husband Stephen, who was my fiance at the time, had never met them, and I told him that he couldn’t marry me without getting my brother’s approval.
Stephen booked us into Nobhill Tavern, and my brother gave his consent.
Nobhill Tavern is one of James Beard award winning chef Michael Mina’s restaurants. It’s located in the MGM Grand and serves American tavern fare. It has a smooth, sofisticated, yet comfortable vibe.
Everything there from the Kobe burgers to Michael Mina’s famous Maine Lobster Pot Pie was cooked to perfection. With wine and tip we seriously dropped a boatload on just the four of us, but it was totally worth it!
Miss you bro!…And thanks for giving your consent!
Overall, I would stay at The Aria again in a heartbeat…well, if I could get one of those huge suites again. 😉
Best part of our trip though?!?…Getting to share a suite with my best friend and her husband all week! Quality time with true friends = priceless!
