The Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center was Class A experience overall!
First, we had been looking forward to this trip for a longtime because we were there for the wedding of two absolutely wonderful people, Paul and Suzanne Behr.
We arrived at the hotel, which bills themselves as “business meets pleasure”, and got the luxurious experience you would expect from a Hyatt Regency.
The room was big and clean, the bed uber comfortable, and the bathroom large and shiny.
What sets this Hyatt Regency apart is view. When you stay, ask for a west facing room looking towards the mountains.
The view is absolutely spectacular especially when the sun is setting over the mountains. It’s a little bit higher priced but absolutely worth it.
Oh, and the wedding was absolutely gorgeous as well! Suzanne arrived by descending in the glass elevator in the center like Cinderella.
Good room, good view, good friends…left feeling blessed!
The next day before heading to our flight, we decided to check out the Coors plant in Golden, CO. It was way too packed to just get in and out so we walked around the town of Golden instead. (Apparently getting free beer is a big attraction….who knew?!?)
We came upon the Buffalo Rose Saloon and stopped in to have a Coors there instead.
With the building founded in 1859, the Buffalo Rose Saloon is the oldest bar in the area.
It has a past that includes hosting Generals Grant and Sheridan, hosting a few shadier guests, and surviving prohibition.
The saloon also has a mid-sized music venue and an outdoor patio for the summer months.
My favorite part….the big ol’ statue of a buffalo right in front of the doors.
A nice find for an afternoon pit stop!
